When I arrived in France Alice helped me to be ready to talk to the French family I was about to visit. She was a well prepared French teacher, who adapted the lessons to my skills, interests and to the French that I needed for the family wedding which I was going to attend. The Alice Academy is an excellent way for those interested in getting to a higher level in reading comprehension and speaking. Alice is a wonderful teacher- very well organized and helps with specific weekly goals to support our efforts (sometimes, the internet can bombard you with vignettes and videos that just overwhelm you). Whereas I could not understand French podcasts and movies- she helps us break it down- and voila- the learning begins. We work with a small group to speak every week- and Alice ensures we all speak (as opposed to some "meet-ups" where levels are all over the board- and certain people dominate all the time). Alice is exceptional- and I am looking forward to the fall to continue my dream. I am not only learning the language- but the culture and customs and history- around France. Fun and Interesting!! I would like to thank Alice Academy for their excellent technique they have to teach us French, Alice is an excellent teacher that has taken the time to prepare and present a perfect method to teach French according to your needs, Alice has designed her own material that she will send it to you with each lesson of group of them under the same subject. It is great because you do not have to buy any books, etc.The only thing you have to do is be on time for her lessons on line personalize class of 1 hour per session and follow her instructions for preparation for the next class. Alice, she is very professional and personable. I had several French teachers but never I have encounter nobody as fully commit it and identified with the needs of his/her students. Grazie ad Alice ho raggiunto un ottimo livello di francese in pochissimo tempo. Il suo modo di insegnare è davvero professionale e coinvolgente, mi ha aiutato ad avere delle conversazioni in francese migliorando tutti gli aspetti della lingua, grammatica, vocabolario e pronuncia. Inoltre è stata sempre disponibile ad approfondire qualsiasi dubbio o domanda durante le lezioni con pazienza e professionalità. Alice parla benissimo italiano il che ha facilitato ancora di più il mio apprendimento qualora fosse necessaria una traduzione. At the conclusion of 12 private lessons with Alice this past fall - mostly à distance - I couldn't wait to sign up for 12 more in the new year. Retired now and an English speaker, I first learned French as a teenager. Although I was able to speak the language reasonably fluently when I first met Alice, I realized my progress was hindered by many gaps in my knowledge and my old-fashioned usage. Alice is all she claims to be: a passionately interested and experienced teacher with a wealth of invaluable information at her fingertips that works incredibly well for remote lessons. Her calm and kindly presence empowered me to express myself on the subject at hand, to ask questions about anything I didn't understand, and to try out newly-learned words and phrases. Alice adapted each lesson and all assignments according to my current needs. She possesses considerable wisdom on how to master a language, and her belief in early-morning contact with it on a daily basis, constant repetition, and focusing on quality rather than quantity are all worth heeding . With Alice, these past few months have been exciting, motivating, joyful and fun. It has been thrilling to encounter so many revelations about this beautiful language. I would highly recommend French classes with Alice. First of all, they are online, so it is possible no matter where you live, then she is very flexible with the timing and the most important is she is an excellent teacher, with lots of experience, and nice personality. You certainly will improve your French with her. I am a busy mother of twins in my 50's, so I do not have time nor a great desire to learn a new language, at this stage of my life. But I need it because I live in France. I noticed that even with a once a week class, and doing the homework Alice gives, listening to her podcast, I am progressing a lot. I do not panic when I hear French anymore. I certainly will continue with Alice. For the ones who care what kind of French she uses, she is from Paris, so it is standard French. I highly recommend learning French with Alice:) Her online classes were always energetic and easy to understand. It was a small group so we were all able to practice our French very well.
